Introducing Astrid, better known as The Queen Bee—a prominent figure in the cannabis and herbal remedies industries. Whether referred to as Vero, Tre, or simply Astrid, her impact is well-known throughout the Las Cruces community. Long before cannabis legalization, Astrid had established herself as a trusted medicine woman, providing natural remedies and running a successful smoke shop. Now, with over seven years as a local business owner and a few months in the legal cannabis space, she has transformed her smoke shop into a thriving dispensary with ambitious plans for the future.
Astrid’s expertise extends beyond running a business—she has been at the forefront of educating both her clients and the community on the benefits of herbal medicine. In 2015, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Ecology from New Mexico State University, laying the foundation for her entrepreneurial journey. As a single mother of three, she continues to thrive in her industry, paving the way for a brighter future.
When asked what she wants people to know about her and her shop, Astrid emphasized, “Remind people to shop local—because supporting local matters. Plus, I have the best heady collection in Las Cruces!”
